Michael J. Malwitz is Director - Product Strategy responsible for Oracle’s Hyperion Financial Consolidation and Reporting Products, joining Hyperion in 1999 and Oracle in July 2007 through the purchase of Hyperion by Oracle. Prior to Hyperion, he was Director of Financial Information Systems at a Fortune 500 company and, over 13 years, held management positions in internal audit, contracts, financial planning and analysis for the same company. He holds degrees from Florida State University and New York University in Business and Accounting. |
Oracle ACE Director,
Linium |
| Mr. Helmer is with Linium and is one of the nation’s consulting leaders in Oracle-Hyperion Business Intelligence Infrastructure services. He is a recognized expert in the area of world class Hyperion Windows and Unix implementations and a champion for the free exchange of information on best IT practices around Oracle IT solutions. Services include architecture/design/sizing, installation/configuration, enterprise assessments, performance tuning, disaster recovery, IT knowledge transfer classes, and high availability/clustering. |
Oracle ACE Director Edward Roske, CEO of InterRel Consulting, is co-author of the bestselling book "Look Smarter than You Are with Hyperion Essbase." Edward is the Oracle Application User's Group Essbase Domain Lead and the Hyperion co-chair for Oracle Developers Tools Users Group's annual Kaleidoscope conference. He has overseen successful Hyperion implementations at over 200 companies and his optimizations have resulted in Essbase calculation improvements of up to 99.989%. Edward is a regular speaker on Hyperion products at conferences around the world and he is noted for his humorous slant to technically boring BI and EPM information. He is most proud of the time that he wrote the screenplay for a musical about implementing Hyperion System 9 and performed it to packed theatres in Las Vegas and Orlando. He also likes puppies. |
Tim is one of the world's most experienced professionals with Hyperion Essbase APIs and architected and managed development of the Hyperion Objects and Hyperion Application Builder.Net products. Tim's dedication to sharing his knowledge within the Hyperion community is clearly evidenced by his prolific contributions to the popular Network54 and HDN forums. Further, he was a speaker at every annual Arbor/Hyperion Solutions conference between 1996 and 2006 and at many regional Hyperion User Group meetings. Tim is a CPA, was one of the first 5 Microsoft Excel MVPs in the world, one of the first 10 MCSDs in the world, a speaker at Microsoft Tech*Ed and has co-authored 2 books on Microsoft Excel. Tim is also a bicycle commuter who averages about 20 miles per day, is an accomplished rock climber and is a volunteer AngelFlight pilot. |

HUGmn exists to give those that use Hyperion the connections and knowledge they need to become - or remain - experts and power users. Members don't need to go looking for innovators, because innovators are members, too. By bringing together those who develop and those who implement and use, HUGmn ensures that its constituency is well-rounded and makes the best use of its software and people.
Officially integrated in early 2008, HUGmn currently has over 120 active members, and hosts several meetings a year. techday2010 is the first meeting of this year, and brings several of Hyperion's greatest champions to Minnesota to present.
